Key Wound Wall Clock with chime that I put up on ebay. This was a clock purchased by my father-in-law years ago, but he probably took out of the box just a few times .. to see what was in the box. The movement is like brand new and the wall clock case is in good working condition.

Using NeXtime’s clock hand style wall clocks, you can create your own large custom wall clock to go with the theme of your room or home. All you need is one of these clocks, stickers, wall decals, paint or any other items you can think of to make your custom clock. In this video we used printable sticker paper to make our own design and cut out our shapes to put on the wall. Please note that the clock does not include any stickers or hardware.

It is beautifully modelled in metal which has been gilded with gold leaf to give an appearance similar to that of carved wood and gesso. The dial is enamel on copper lettered in blue with separate minute ring. It is complete with original finely fretted gilt brass hands. The back of the clock has an old repairers label. The French movement has the Japy Freres clockmakers mark on the movement backplate. It is of excellent quality as is to be expected of this maker. It has the superior pin-pallet escapement and rack striking. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running! Condition of the case is good, there is an old repair to the tip of one side of the case. The case has been gold leafed which has a nice antique finish and this has been touched in at some time. There is wear, chipping and discolouration – it has a mellow and shabby chic finish rather than the shine of a gilded brass case. The dial has some slight chipping around the Brocot shaft.
